El Salvadoreño Pupuseria y Restaurant is passionate about serving the best authentic Salvadorian dishes. Jeremias Ortiz, owner and chef, has been serving Salvadorian favorites since 1988. The restaurant has become a staple of authentic Salvadorian cuisine in the City of Duarte.
Jeremias has created Salvadorian favorites that will keep you coming back for more. The inspired El Salvadoreño Combo that includes perfectly grilled beef, shrimp and plantains has become a local favorite, and the Mojarra Frita (Fried Mojarra Fish) is still one of the best selling dishes. Of course the PUPUSAS are out of this world...the best of El Salvadoreño. Diners will be delighted at the choices offered on the menu that has been developed over 20 years.
Originally from El Salvador, Jeremias came to Los Angeles with flavorful recipes and a love of cooking. He started out with 3 lunch trucks, and with his success, decided to open El Salvadoreño Pupuseria y Restaurant in September 1988. Grateful to the community and to all who appreciate the delicious flavors of El Salvador, the restaurant will be celebrating their 23rd anniversary in September 2012.
